Employer of Choice for Gender Equality
St Barbara is the only gold mining company to receive the “Employer of Choice for Gender Equality” citation for seven consecutive years.
St Barbara is proud to receive the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation for the seventh consecutive year. This citation recognises our commitment to diversity and inclusion and the progress we have made on increasing the gender composition of our workforce and developing an inclusive culture.
St Barbara’s like-for-like gender pay gap analysis shows that women and men are paid the same salary for doing the same work and this is analysed annually as well as with each new appointment. The Company’s overall gender pay gap of 15% compares the average of all-male salaries with the average of all female salaries. In our case, the overall gender pay gap is entirely due to an under-representation of women in senior roles.
