Our Nova Scotia community

Our Atlantic Operations prides itself on providing prosperity and opportunity for families in rural Nova Scotia, which is known for its sense of community.

We have been able to significantly contribute to provincial and municipal government revenues, spark job creation, and give back to the local economy. According to a recent study by global auditing and accounting firm KPMG, between 2022 and 2030 Atlantic Operations will spend hundreds of millions of dollars in Nova Scotia through local suppliers and indirect economic activity for the proposed Cochrane Hill project alone.

Some of our community support includes: Nova Scotia Keltics Women’s Rugby Team, donations towards the Musquodoboit Valley Health Foundation, Musquodoboit Valley Food Bank, Musquodoboit Valley Family Resource Centre and Camp Kidston, a summer camp for children.

Community Newsletters and Special Bulletins

Our Atlantic Operations publish regular Community Newsletters and Bulletins to keep stakeholders informed of activities on site and within the local community.

Community Liaison Committees

Atlantic Operations has created Community Liaison Committees (CLCs) for the Touquoy/Beaver Dam, Fifteen Mile Stream and Cochrane Hill projects.  These committees serve as advisory boards for Atlantic Operations by providing a representative cross-section of community opinions, concerns and suggestions on our operations.
